Information First, a provider of SaaS and on-premise information governance solutions built on software from Micro Focus, has officially become certified to ISO 27001:2013 as of 19 April 2022. Being certified to ISO 27001 means that Information First and its customers will benefit from improved information security, enhanced data protection, compliance with privacy regulations, and reduced cyber risk.
The decision to become certified to ISO 27001 stems from growth in our cloud and SaaS customer base coupled with increasing cyber threats. This certification complements our Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), standing as a Data Privacy Champion with the National Cybersecurity Alliance, and membership in Infragard. “We are thrilled to announce certification of our Information Security Program to the ISO 27001 international standard. This certification reflects our commitment to information security and the hardening of the information governance solutions that we deliver to our customers.” says Information First President John Lontos.

Thanks for helping me understand that being certified for ISO 27001 would mean that you are following the data privacy regulations and other cybersecurity precautionary measures in place. In that case, companies looking for software or pieces of equipment that would include inputting data or information about certain people or clients should check if the product is certified first. Doing so will ensure the security of the company and its reputation as well before they even impose any kind of detail or information in the future.
