Today is the day! After months of preparation and planning, the merger of HPE Software with Micro Focus is now officially complete. This is the start of an exciting new chapter, and Information First looks forward to providing continuity to our customers and partners. HPE’s Information Management and Governance (IM&G) and Security products are now part of a unified Security and Information Governance (SIG) group within one of the largest pure-play software companies in the world.
Information First consultants Tamara Hoagland and Susan Weihe presented Records Management Best Practices at a recent meeting of the Louisville chapter of ARMA. In addition to discussing a variety of lessons learned, the dynamic duo highlighted the importance of training and outreach methods such as Lunch & Learns, Thirsty Thursdays, Documents & Doughnuts, and Records Refresher courses.
HPE is no longer selling Records Manager 8.0x, 8.1x & 8.2x as of January 1st. Support for Records Manager 8.0x, 8.1x & 8.2x will end in April 2018. Customers with active support contracts are eligible to upgrade to HPE Content Manager 9.0x (the new name for HPE Records Manager).
Please note that starting with HPE Content Manager 9.0x, HPE is using a new licensing structure. Customers upgrading from TRIM 7.x and RM 8.0 versions to later versions will require an updated licensing structure. Please contact Information First today and we can help you work through your migration. It is never to early to start planning!
Through it all, Information First stands ready to support our clients and prospective clients - just as we did when HP first acquired TOWER Software in 2008.
